Member Leadership

“What being a member in leadership means to me is the opportunity to empower others with the same chance to grow and discover your true self. That’s full circle to me. I have never before been believed in or empowered like I have at Together Place, and I just want others to feel the same way”

Personal Growth

“Going through the [Recovery for You] group made me look at life differently. I think back to a year ago and can see the growth and change within myself and know change is what was needed.”

– Jessica M., Member

Volunteers and leaders from the Together Place Peer Run Recovery Center and the United Way of Eastern Maine worked together to beautify a section of the city close to downtown by planting flowers, a vegetable garden and cleaning up the Second Street Park. Mental health issues and addiction often go hand-in-hand, and the folks at the Together Place understand that both need to be addressed, in order for people to get the help they need… So next time you drive by the bright blue building on Union Street, you can smile in the knowledge that it’s not just the paint that makes it a bright spot in the city’s landscape.
